Learjet 60

The Learjet 60 is a mid-size business jet developed by Learjet, a subsidiary of Bombardier Aerospace. It is a stretched and re-engined derivative of the Learjet 55, featuring Pratt & Whitney Canada PW305A turbofan engines and an updated avionics suite. The aircraft entered service in the mid-1990s and became a popular choice for corporate and charter operators seeking speed and range in the mid-size cabin segment. The cabin accommodates typically six to eight passengers in a pressurized, stand-up-height interior, offering a comfortable transcontinental flying experience. The Learjet 60 was later succeeded by the Learjet 60XR, an improved variant with enhanced performance and updated systems, which remained in production until Bombardier wound down the Learjet product line in 2021. Despite the end of production, many Learjet 60 and 60XR aircraft remain active in the charter and corporate aviation market worldwide.
