Flying B Ranch Landing Strip (12ID) is a private backcountry airstrip located near Salmon, Idaho, serving the Flying B Ranch in the rugged Frank Church–River of No Return Wilderness area. The strip is typical of Idaho's many remote ranch and outfitter airstrips, designed to support small general aviation aircraft accessing an otherwise roadless region. The airstrip is privately owned and operated, primarily serving guests and operations of the Flying B Ranch, which functions as a wilderness lodge and outfitter. Access by air is essentially the only practical means of reaching the facility, making the landing strip a critical piece of infrastructure for the ranch. Due to its remote location, mountainous terrain, and short runway, the strip demands significant pilot skill and experience. It is not open to the public and has no scheduled commercial service.
