Platinum Mine Airport (ICAO: 6AK1) is a small, private airstrip located near the village of Platinum in the Bethel Census Area of western Alaska, United States. It serves the local mining operations and provides limited access to this extremely remote coastal community on the Bering Sea. The airport is a basic facility with a single unpaved or gravel strip, typical of remote Alaskan mining and bush airstrips. It is not served by scheduled commercial airline service and primarily supports general aviation and mining-related air traffic. Platinum, Alaska is one of the smallest and most isolated communities in the United States, and air transport is essential for reaching the area, as there are no roads connecting it to the broader Alaska highway system.
