Alsek River Airport (A57) is a small, remote airstrip located near Yakutat in southeastern Alaska, United States. It serves as an access point for the rugged wilderness surrounding the Alsek River, a glacially fed waterway that flows through the Tatshenshini-Alsek region on the border of Alaska and British Columbia. The airport primarily supports light general aviation, bush flying operations, and recreational users such as rafters, hunters, and wilderness adventurers accessing the adjacent Glacier Bay National Preserve and surrounding backcountry. There is no commercial airline service at this facility. Given its remote location and minimal infrastructure, the airstrip is used primarily by small bush planes. It is not staffed and has no terminal building or passenger services.
