It plays a modest but vital role in connecting this remote part of Maluku province to the wider archipelago, supporting government, commerce, and limited tourism. The airport reflects the simple, functional infrastructure typical of Indonesia's more isolated outer islands.
- Main Terminal — A single small terminal handling domestic arrivals and departures with basic passenger facilities.
- Ojek (motorcycle taxi) available outside the terminal
- Shared minibus (angkot) to Amahai town centre
- Private car hire arranged through local contacts or guesthouses
