Nushagak Airport (AK21) is a small general aviation airstrip located in the Dillingham area of southwestern Alaska, near the Nushagak River. It serves as a local bush strip supporting subsistence activities, fishing operations, and access to remote communities in the region. The airport operates as a private or limited-use facility and is not served by scheduled commercial airline service. It plays a role in the broader network of bush aviation that is essential for transportation in rural Alaska, where road connections are largely absent. Dillingham, the nearby hub city, is served by Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport via regional carriers, and Nushagak Airport complements local access needs for the surrounding wilderness and river corridor.
