East Alsek River Airport (AK76) is a small, remote airstrip located near the East Alsek River in the Yakutat area of southeastern Alaska. It serves as an access point for wilderness activities in the surrounding region, including the Tatshenshini-Alsek wilderness area, one of the largest protected wilderness zones in the world. The airport is a private or limited-use facility and is not served by commercial airlines. It is primarily used by small general aviation aircraft, float planes, and bush pilots supporting outdoor recreation, fishing, and ecological activities in the area. Given its remote location and limited infrastructure, the airstrip offers no passenger terminals or commercial services. Access to the broader Yakutat area for commercial travel is handled through Yakutat Airport (YAK), the nearest facility with scheduled airline service.
