Aktobe International Airport serves the city of Aktobe in northwestern Kazakhstan, functioning as a key regional hub for the oil-rich Aktobe region. The airport has undergone modernization efforts to accommodate growing passenger traffic driven by the energy sector and increasing domestic connectivity. It handles both domestic routes to Almaty, Astana, and other Kazakh cities, as well as limited international services.
- Main Terminal — A single combined terminal handling all domestic and international departures and arrivals with basic passenger amenities.
- Taxi services available outside the arrivals hall
- Private car hire arranged through local operators
- Hotel shuttle buses for major properties
- City bus routes connecting airport to central Aktobe

Inside the terminal, passengers will find a small café and snack bar offering local Kazakh fare alongside standard airport refreshments. Options are limited airside, so travellers are advised to eat before arriving or bring their own food for longer waits. The city centre of Aktobe, approximately 12 kilometres away, offers a wider variety of restaurants.
- Arrive at least 90 minutes before domestic flights as security queues can be slow during peak oil-industry travel periods.
- Exchange currency in the city centre rather than at the airport for better rates on Kazakhstani Tenge.
- Confirm taxi fares before departure, as metered cabs are not always available and negotiation is common.
- Winter temperatures in Aktobe can drop well below -20°C, so dress accordingly when travelling between November and February.
