Slai Airstrip is a small, remote airstrip located in Papua New Guinea, serving the local community of Slai. It operates under the ICAO code AYLZ and has no assigned IATA code, reflecting its status as a minor domestic facility. Like many rural airstrips in Papua New Guinea, Slai Airstrip provides a critical link for a community that would otherwise be isolated due to the country's challenging terrain and limited road infrastructure. It primarily supports light aircraft operations for passenger and cargo transport. The airstrip is typical of bush strips found throughout PNG, serving missionary organizations, local carriers, and government supply flights rather than scheduled commercial aviation.
