Scott AFB/MidAmerica Airport (BLV/KBLV) is a joint-use facility located in Mascoutah, Illinois, near Belleville, serving both the United States Air Force and commercial passengers. The airport shares its runways and airfield infrastructure with Scott Air Force Base, home to U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and Air Mobility Command (AMC). The civilian side of the airport has seen limited but recurring commercial service over the years, with carriers periodically offering routes to attract passengers from the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. The facility has long been positioned as an alternative to St. Louis Lambert International Airport, offering less congestion and easier parking.
