Lieutenant Colonel Carmelo Peralta National Airport is a domestic airport serving the city of Concepción, located in the northern part of Paraguay along the Paraguay River. It operates as a regional facility connecting Concepción to the capital Asunción and other domestic destinations. The airport is named in honor of Lieutenant Colonel Carmelo Peralta, a figure of Paraguayan military history. It handles relatively modest passenger volumes, primarily serving travelers to and from this northern commercial and cattle-ranching hub. The facility is managed under Paraguay's civil aviation authority, DINAC (Dirección Nacional de Aeronáutica Civil), and supports the economic activity of the Concepción Department, which is known for agriculture, livestock, and trade with Brazil.
