Kidepo Airport (ICAO: HUKD) is a small airstrip located within Kidepo Valley National Park in the Karamoja sub-region of northeastern Uganda. It serves as the primary air access point to one of Africa's most remote and celebrated wildlife reserves, which sits near the borders of South Sudan and Kenya. The airstrip is basic in nature, catering almost exclusively to light charter aircraft and small scheduled bush flights. It plays a vital role in connecting tourists and park management staff to the rest of Uganda, given the park's extreme remoteness and the poor condition of overland routes. Kidepo Valley National Park is widely regarded as one of the finest and least-visited national parks in Africa, and the airport supports the park's growing eco-tourism sector. No commercial jet operations are conducted here.
