Iringa Airport, also known as Nduli Airport, is a small regional airstrip serving the Iringa region in Tanzania's Southern Highlands. It facilitates light aircraft and charter flights connecting this historically significant highland town to other parts of Tanzania. The airport plays a modest but important role in supporting tourism access to nearby Ruaha National Park, one of Tanzania's largest and most wildlife-rich parks.
- Main Terminal — A single small terminal building handling domestic arrivals and departures with basic passenger facilities.
- Taxis available outside the terminal for hire to Iringa town
- Minibus (daladala) services connecting Nduli area to Iringa town centre
- Private vehicle transfers arranged through local lodges and safari operators
- Car hire available through local operators in Iringa town
- Neema Crafts Centre & Guesthouse
- Iringa Boma Hotel
- Hasty Tasty Too Guesthouse
- Ruaha River Lodge (en route to Ruaha National Park)
The airport itself has minimal food and beverage facilities, so travellers are advised to eat in Iringa town before departure. Iringa town centre offers local Tanzanian cuisine at small restaurants and guesthouses, with staples such as ugali, grilled meats, and fresh vegetables widely available. Neema Crafts in town is a popular spot for a light meal or coffee.
- Confirm your flight schedule directly with the charter operator as services can be irregular or subject to change.
- Arrive early as the airport is small and staff may be limited; flexibility is important for regional travel.
- Most visitors use Iringa as a jumping-off point for Ruaha National Park — pre-arrange safari transfers in advance.
- Carry Tanzania shillings in cash as card payment facilities are very limited in and around the airport.
