Cafayate Airport (ICAO: SA02) is a small general aviation airstrip located near Cafayate, a town in the Salta Province of northwestern Argentina. The airport serves the surrounding Calchaquí Valleys region, which is internationally renowned for its Torrontés white wine production and dramatic Andean scenery. The facility operates at a relatively high altitude, consistent with the elevated terrain of the Calchaquí Valleys, and primarily supports private and charter flights rather than scheduled commercial airline service. Its limited infrastructure reflects the small size and tourist-oriented nature of the local economy. Cafayate itself is a popular destination for wine tourism and archaeological tourism, with visitors typically arriving via road from Salta city or using private aircraft. The nearest airport with regular commercial service is Martín Miguel de Güemes International Airport in Salta.
