Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport serves as the primary air gateway for Hebei Province in northern China, located approximately 32 kilometres northeast of Shijiazhuang city centre in Zhengding County. Originally opened in the 1990s and significantly expanded over the years, the airport plays a vital regional role connecting Hebei's capital to major domestic destinations and select international routes. It serves as an important alternative hub for travellers in the broader Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolitan region.
- Terminal 1 — The original terminal handling select domestic routes with basic amenities and standard check-in facilities.
- Terminal 2 — The newer, larger terminal serving the majority of domestic and international flights with expanded retail and dining options.
- Airport shuttle buses connecting to Shijiazhuang city centre and main railway station
- Taxi services available at the designated rank outside the arrivals hall
- Ride-hailing apps including Didi Chuxing operating at the airport
- Car rental counters available inside the terminal building
- Inter-city coaches to surrounding Hebei cities and towns
- Crowne Plaza Shijiazhuang Zhengding

Inside the terminals, passengers will find a mix of Chinese fast food outlets, noodle and dumpling restaurants, and convenience stores catering to domestic travellers. International chain options are limited, so travellers seeking more variety are better served by dining in Shijiazhuang city before departure. The Zhengding area itself offers good local Hebei cuisine including authentic dishes such as donkey meat sandwiches and various braised specialities.
- Allow extra time for the drive to the airport as road congestion on the expressway can add significant travel time during peak hours.
- Keep Chinese yuan cash on hand as smaller vendors and some transport options may not accept foreign cards.
- The airport is close to Zhengding Ancient Town, a worthwhile stopover for travellers with extra time before their flight.
- Download the Didi app before arriving in China as it is the most reliable ride-hailing option and often cheaper than metered taxis.
