Gateway to the Tawi-Tawi island province of the Philippines.

Location

Bongao, Philippines

Sanga Sanga Airport (IATA: TWT, ICAO: RPMN) is a domestic airport located on Sanga Sanga Island in Bongao, the capital of Tawi-Tawi province in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Philippines. It serves as the primary air link connecting this remote island group to the rest of the country. The airport is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and handles a modest volume of passenger traffic, primarily from travelers going to and from Zamboanga City and other Mindanao destinations. Given the archipelagic nature of Tawi-Tawi, the airport plays a vital role in regional connectivity alongside inter-island sea transport. The facility has a single runway and limited infrastructure, reflecting the relatively small population and passenger demand of the province. Security considerations in the region have historically influenced operations at the airport.

Terminals

The airport has a single small passenger terminal building serving all domestic arrivals and departures.

Ground transport from the airport to Bongao town center is available via tricycles and multicabs, the primary modes of local transportation.
