Schleswig Air Base, known by its ICAO code ETNS and IATA code WBG, is a military airfield located near Jagel in the Schleswig-Holstein state of northern Germany. It serves as an active installation of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) and has historically been an important tactical air base in the region. The base is situated close to the town of Schleswig and has been used for jet fighter operations, reconnaissance, and other military aviation activities over the decades. It hosted the Tornado aircraft as part of Germany's tactical air commitments during the Cold War era and beyond. As a military facility, Schleswig Air Base is not open to commercial passenger traffic and has no civilian airline operations. Its IATA code exists primarily for logistical and charter identification purposes rather than scheduled commercial service.
