Zunyi Maotai Airport, opened in 2015, serves the northern Guizhou city of Zunyi and is notably named after the world-famous Maotai liquor produced in nearby Renhuai. The airport plays a strategic role in opening up a historically significant region — Zunyi is famed for the 1935 Zunyi Conference that shaped Chinese Communist Party history. It serves as a regional hub connecting this culturally rich area to major Chinese cities.
- Terminal 1 — The sole passenger terminal handling all domestic arrivals and departures with standard regional airport facilities.
- Taxi services available at the designated rank outside the terminal
- Ride-hailing apps (DiDi) operable from the airport area
- Shuttle buses connecting to Zunyi city centre and Renhuai
- Private car hire and pre-booked transfers from local operators
- Zunyi Conference Hotel
- Holiday Inn Zunyi
- Guizhou Maotai Hotel (Renhuai)
- Vienna Hotel Zunyi

Inside the terminal, options are limited to a small selection of snack counters and basic cafés reflecting local Guizhou flavours. Visitors are encouraged to explore Zunyi city or Renhuai town for authentic local cuisine, including sour fish soup and chilli-laden Guizhou dishes. The region is also renowned for Maotai baijiu tastings available at distillery visitor centres nearby.
- Book ground transport in advance as taxi availability can be limited during off-peak hours.
- Carry some cash (CNY) as smaller vendors and rural transport options may not accept mobile payments.
- Allow extra travel time to Renhuai town (approximately 30–40 minutes) if visiting the Maotai distillery.
- Check domestic flight schedules carefully as route frequency is limited compared to major Chinese hub airports.
