Nuremberg Airport, officially Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg, serves as the second-largest airport in Bavaria and a key regional hub in southern Germany. Named after the renowned Renaissance artist who was born in the city, it has operated in its current location since 1955 and handles both scheduled and charter traffic across Europe and beyond. The airport plays a vital role connecting Franconia to major European capitals and holiday destinations.

- U-Bahn (Metro) Line U2 connects the airport directly to Nuremberg city centre in around 12 minutes
- Regional buses operate to surrounding towns and districts in the Greater Nuremberg area
- Taxis are available at the designated rank directly outside the arrivals hall
- Car rental desks from major providers including Hertz, Avis, Sixt, and Europcar are located in the terminal
- Ride-hailing services such as Uber and local alternatives operate from the airport

Inside the terminal, travellers will find a selection of cafés, bakeries, and casual dining outlets offering Franconian specialities alongside international options. Airside there are bars and snack counters suitable for quick meals before departure. For a broader dining experience, the nearby city centre offers traditional Nuremberg bratwurst restaurants and Franconian taverns just a short U-Bahn ride away.
- The U2 metro is the fastest and most cost-effective way to reach the city centre — buy a day ticket for unlimited travel.
- Check in early during peak holiday seasons as the terminal can become congested, particularly in summer and around Christmas markets.
- Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal, but speeds can be slow during busy periods — consider a local SIM or roaming plan.
- Nuremberg's famous Christmas Market (Christkindlesmarkt) runs from late November — allow extra travel time during this period due to higher passenger volumes.
